Roasted in an age old fashion using a rotating drum and open fire. Roasting coffee in this way, is about seeing the beans changing colour from green to yellow to brown, smelling the aroma changing from grassy to sweet and complex, hearing the first crack and anticipating to stop the roast in time. It is a product hand crafted by our family on our homestead in the Duineveld, behind Aasvoëlberg, a stones throw from the N2 just outside Albertinia.
